The first thing I want you to consider before making your presentation, is the importance of selecting the appropriate size that your slides should have, since this will help the elements within your slide to maintain a proper order and appearance.
Size of your Slide
An important tool that you should know in PowerPoint, since it defines the measures that your template format will have. In PowerPoint (version 2016), there are two formats or sizes that you can use for your presentations, where you must select which one best suits your needs: widescreen / widescreen or letter / standard size.
One of the main things that you must consider to choose the size of the slide is the device from which you will show your presentation, since depending on the format of the screen you can select the size of the slide that best fits your presentation. For example: if you are going to show a presentation on a tablet or in tools such as slideshare, it is advisable to use the standard size, since the screen from which the presentation is shown is usually smaller than if it is displayed from a computer, laptop or TV, where the screen is much wider and it is best to use the widescreen format. This will help you to optimally take advantage of the space on your slide and to avoid distortions or saturations in texts and images.

What is the Master Slide in PowerPoint?
You probably think that you do not have time to know in depth the functionalities that PowerPoint has, but the proper use of this tool will help you to create your templates in an effective way.
The Master Slide or Master Slide is a tool that helps you modify a slide pattern, allowing you to make changes to one or all the slides of your presentation.
To start creating a template, you should look in the View menu for the Slide Master option. In the bar that opens to your left, you will see a series of slide templates, the first of them represented in numerical form, which you will take as a model to start making changes or creating the main template.

When making changes in this base template or master slide, the rest of the slides that are below it will take this same format. Now, if you want to have different templates for your presentation, I recommend you use the other templates or master slides (Layouts) and create the design you want.
The wonderful thing about using this Slide Master tool is that you will have a harmonious, consistent and professional design in your presentation.
These two aspects in your presentation, although you may not believe it, will generate a significant impact on your audience, as it will be the first thing they notice. It is not the same to make a common and boring presentation with predetermined templates, to use templates that reflect your own image, where you can also visualize an adequate use of each slide, since the elements that compose it show harmony with each other as they are adjusted to an ideal size.
